Week 14

Haskins bounces back from his rough outing against the Steelers. The connection between him and Terry McLaurin along with the pass rush keeps the game close. However, the 49ers have too much talent on both sides of the ball for Washington to pull off the upset.

Result: San Francisco 49ers 28, Washington Football Team 20

Week 15

Dwayne Haskins keeps up all game long with Russell Wilson. The game turns into a duel. However, like almost always, Russell Wilson pulls off a last-minute drive to avoid the upset. Washington is now on a four-game losing streak. However, the recent stretch of competitive games against playoff contenders is a good sign for Washington.

Result: Seattle Seahawks 31, Washington Football Team 27

Record: 5-9

Week 16

Washington finally gets its breakthrough. Following a four-game losing streak, Washington has a  win at home against Coach Rivera’s old team. The game stays close throughout, but the defense closes the game out with a goal-line stand.

Result: Washington Football Team 23, Carolina Panthers 16

Record: 6-9

Week 17

The Eagles win a tightly contested game to secure the NFC East title. Washington is competitive but again the talent gap is too large to overcome. Washington finishes the year 6-10, doubling its win total from 2019.

Result: Philadelphia Eagles 27, Washington Football Team 20

Record: 6-10
