Javon Kinlaw. 16. player. 44. . Defensive Tackle. Atlanta Falcons

Javon Kinlaw could go as high as the No. 9 overall pick, so this would qualify as a potential steal. And he would fit what the Falcons need almost perfectly.

The Falcons have a well-built offense. Their O-Line didn’t play well last season, but if that unit can get healthy, the team will have few needs on that side of the ball.

On defense, however, the team could use some more talent up front. They added Dante Fowler to go with Grady Jarrett, but they could still use an interior pass rusher. While linebacker and cornerback are also needs, Kinlaw is far and away the best player on the board.

Kinlaw (6-foot-5, 324 pounds) is a long-armed pass rusher on the interior line. He had six sacks last season at South Carolina playing in the SEC. He’s not always consistent, but he has all the tools needed to be a very effective pass rusher at the NFL level.

Kinlaw has had a good pre-draft process. He flashed at the combine and is a high-character individual with a great work ethic. He fared well in interviews and has a number of fans. He should only get better with NFL-level coaching and if Dan Quinn can unlock his potential, the sky is the limit for Kinlaw.
