With all the question marks surrounding Trent Williams return to Washington, should the Redskins move on at the position?

Back in April of 2019, Trent Williams was reported to be dealing with a very serious medical scare. At the time, it was reported that Williams was dealing with a “growth or tumor” on his head. Displeased with the way the medical staff handled the situation, Williams decided to not report for Redskins minicamp. Williams finally ended his holdout during Week 9 of the 2019 regular season.

Even after his return last season, Williams was still unhappy and he didn’t play at all for the team. Of course, this was before the change of coaching staff as well as the medical staff. The most important part of this equation may be the fact that the Redskins finally pulled the trigger and relieved Bruce Allen of his duties within the organization.

Many options are available for the Redskins in trading or releasing Williams. So, while it is still not certain whether or not Trent Williams will come back to the Redskins, is keeping Williams on the team or moving on from the player the best option for the team?
