According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Trent Williams was recently dealing with a health issue. Here are the details on the Washington Redskins’ star left tackle.

Trent Williams has been the best player on the Washington Redskins’ offense for quite some time now. Williams, arguably the best left tackle in the league, has served as an elite blindside protector for all of the Redskins quarterbacks to start since he joined the squad.

Williams has dealt with knee issues in each of the past couple seasons that have hobbled him a bit. Still, he performed well when on the field even not at 100 percent and his performance is expected to be key to the ‘Skins’ offensive line in 2019.

However, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Williams recently had a health scare. Here’s what Rapoport said about the situation in a recent story.

"Washington Redskins star left tackle Trent Williams has spent the last several weeks dealing with a medical scare that at one time appeared to be very serious. Now, sources say, Williams should be ready for training camp.Williams’ health issue was related to growth or tumor on his head that had doctors worried it was malignant. Williams had the growth removed and at this point, should be unaffected once he recovers."

The story went on to say that there was a possibility that Williams could have missed the season, but the scarier part here is obviously Williams’ overall health. Thankfully, it seems that everything checked out and that Williams will be okay. But, needless to say, this was a scary situation for him.
