Redskins vs. Cowboys, part two: Storylines, how to watch
By Ian Cummings
In less than seven hours, the Redskins 2020 season will be over.
On the heels of an offseason filled with predictions of 6-10 and 7-9, the Washington Redskins 2019 season was still a major disappointment. It seemed like such an outcome couldn’t be possible, but Washington’s 2019 campaign still managed to undercut the modest expectations assigned to it.
With one game left, Washington sits at the bottom of the NFC East, with a 3-12 record. The best they can do is 4-12, with the risk of moving down the draft board. The worst they can do is 3-13, with the benefit of locking down the No. 2 pick. At this point in the season, there’s nothing to gain from a win, but there is something to be said about preventing a rival like the Cowboys from making the playoffs. At the very least, Washington can do that this week. But if the Eagles win against New York, none of it matters.
The best Washington can hope for today is a close outing, in which the young players continue to grow, in which Kevin O’Connell puts together another promising offensive game plan, and in which Washington puts together a respectable effort off of which to springboard into the 2020 offseason. If you can’t watch the game on live television where you are, you can live stream online via NFL Game Pass or FuboTV. Before you watch, be sure to check our pregame links!
