The Washington Redskins host the New York Giants on Sunday in a matchup between two NFC East rivals starting rookie quarterbacks.

The Washington Redskins welcome the New York Giants to FedExField as they play their last home game of 2019. Last week, they lost to the Eagles 37-27, but got the result many fans wanted, as the younger players looked well in the defeat. These last couple of games will be meaningless in the win/loss column, but provide valuable experience to a young nucleus as they look to build for the future.

The Giants are coming off a 36-20 win over Miami that was likely Eli Manning’s last career game at home. Their season has not gone the way many had hoped as they are currently 3-11 and looking at a potential top-five draft pick in the coming draft. They soundly defeated the Redskins 24-3 in their first matchup.

For Washington, this game is about the future and not the present as they are looking for another game in which their younger players continue to show development and growth instead of a meaningless Week 16 win over another inept team. But, if the Redskins are going to win this game and finish strong at home, here are five keys to victory on Sunday.
