2. Redskins must have another efficient game from Dwayne Haskins

Speaking of Dwayne Haskins, Washington must have another efficient performance from him this week. In his first NFL start, Haskins was 15 of 22 for 144 yards against Buffalo. Not impressive numbers, but he showed tremendous growth as a quarterback from where he was prior when he looked overmatched. Haskins avoided the turnovers that plagued him in two relief appearances and played well within the offense.

The Jets’ defense has been opportunistic when it comes to creating turnovers, especially safety Jamal Adams. Haskins must avoid the backbreaking turnovers this week as he looks to continue to develop as a quarterback and take on more of the offense. With Callahan figuring to lean heavily on Peterson and Guice, Haskins won’t have to throw for 300 yards, but he must make the timely play when it’s there to keep the defense honest.

If Haskins can continue to build off his first NFL start and have a day where he throws for over 200 yards and a touchdown (or two) and gets the Redskins above 20 points, it will help immensely in getting his first win as a starter.
