Three NFL trade deadline targets Redskins could try to buy low on
The Washington Redskins shouldn’t be buyers at the NFL trade deadline, but if they can land some talent cheap, they should consider doing it.
Look, at this point, everyone knows that the Redskins are going nowhere this season. They’re sitting at 1-7 at the halfway point and their only win was a one-point victory over the Dolphins. Needless to say, that isn’t impressive.
With the NFL trade deadline approaching, the Redskins should certainly be looking to offload some of their veterans for future draft capital. That would accelerate their rebuild and give them a chance to fill their needs. But given that the front office thinks they are close to competing, that may not happen.
Though the Redskins should look to be sellers, they could also attempt to buy-low on some of the talented players that may change teams. That’s not to say that they should overpay for anyone or go out of their way to make a trade. But if a talented player becomes available cheap at a position of need, they could consider making a move to shore up their depth or add a piece to their future core.
With that said, here’s a look at a few names that are on the trade block that it could make sense for the Redskins to target.
