Redskins studs and duds from 19-9 loss to the Vikings
By Ian Cummings
On Thursday Night Football, the Redskins fell to Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings, by a score of 19-9.
The Washington Redskins competed for a substantial portion of the outing, but the team’s inconsistency proved to be its downfall. The Vikings chipped away at a number of weaknesses on offense, and on defense, they exploited the sudden rotation of a rookie quarterback.
After this loss, the Redskins are 1-7, and they’ve reached the halfway point of the 2019 campaign. Their season doesn’t get any easier from here. Next week, the Redskins play the 5-1 Buffalo Bills, and after that, matchups with the Lions, Panthers, Packers, Eagles, and Cowboys are still on deck. You can pencil in five more losses right there.
While the season is a wash, however, there are bright spots to recognize in the chaos. Turn the page, and see who made the list in our Week 8 edition of the Washington Redskins studs and duds!
