After yet another embarrassing performance on Monday Night, the Redskins travel to face the New York Giants in an absolute must-win for Jay Gruden and company.

The Sunday showdown in the Meadowlands is a battle between two franchises who appear to be heading in different directions. The Giants are 1-2 but had a great comeback win from the rookie quarterback they believe is their future in Daniel Jones. Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins are now 0-3 after another embarrassing home loss on Monday night in which they looked outmatched by a tough Bears team, while Dwayne Haskins still sits waiting for his turn.

If last week wasn’t a must-win game, this week appears to be an absolute must-win for Jay Gruden and Greg Manusky if they hope to save their jobs. With an extra day to prepare, Gruden’s team came out flat before eventually trailing 28-3 at the half. The ‘Skins scored a couple of second half touchdowns to make the score look closer than the game was, as they lost 31-15.

If the Redskins hope to get a win and get some momentum before a tough home game against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, they must first take care of the Giants. If Washington hopes to get a win and save Jay Gruden’s job (for at least another week), here are five keys to victory in their Sunday matchup.
