Sitting at 0-3, the Redskins need a win against the Giants if they expect to be competitive in 2019. A loss in Week 4 would be too much to overcome.

Having no direction is never fun for an NFL franchise, but that’s where the Washington Redskins are at right now. Members of the organization fervently declared their intentions to compete in 2019 over the summer, but now, three weeks have gone by, and the Redskins have done anything but.

Their opposition hasn’t been easy; they’ve faced the Eagles, Cowboys, and Bears. But in all three games, they lost in embarrassing fashion, and in the latter two, they never even had a chance to attain a victory.

The Giants will bring a change of pace for Washington, but even New York has seen a spark of life recently, with the emergence of rookie signal caller Daniel Jones. The Giants won’t be easy to beat, and if Washington wants to put up a fight, these five players will be crucial, for the impact they may or may not provide.
