2019 NFL Supplemental Draft: Date, time, players available, and how it works
Which prospects are eligible for the 2019 NFL Supplemental Draft?
This year, there are five players that have declared for the supplemental draft. They are as follows:
- Washington State safety Jalen Thompson
- West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms
- Syracuse linebacker Shyheim Cullen
- Northland Community College tight end Devonaire Clarington
- St. Francis defensive back Bryant Perry
Of that group, it seems likely that only two players will be selected. Thompson could be selected as early as the third round, but it seems more likely that a Day 3 pick will be enough to get his services. Simms is the other player that could get selected and the 5-foot-11 playmaker may sneak into the final rounds of the draft.

As for the rest, they don’t seem likely to be selected, but they could end up trying to find roster spots after the supplemental draft. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Cullen, who had 31 tackles in his final collegiate season at Syracuse, get a chance to fight for a roster or practice squad spot in training camp.
