Picks 17-24

17. New York Giants: QB Daniel Jones, Duke. Jones has the skill set of an NFL starter and could turn into the next Carson Wentz. NFL evaluators like him a lot better than fans and the media. The Giants could consider him at 6, but I think it’s more likely that they target him here or trade up for him.

18. Minnesota Vikings: OL Garrett Bradbury, NC State. Protect Kirk Cousins. That’s what the Vikings need to do. Bradbury is a versatile interior offensive lineman who could kick Pat Elflein to left guard. That would at least solidify the interior.

19. Tennessee Titans: EDGE Brian Burns, Florida State. This is close to Burns’ floor, and the Titans seem to really like him. He and Harold Landry would be the long-term edge rushers for the Titans.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: CB Byron Murphy, Washington. Rock Ya-Sin has been gaining a lot of buzz here, but I’m sticking with the best cornerback as the pick. Murphy has great ball skills and would help the Steelers. They may also trade up for Devin Bush.

21. Seattle Seahawks: TE Noah Fant, Iowa. Watch for the Patriots to trade up to this point if Fant is on the board. They would be logical trade partners for Seattle. But for now, the Seahawks grab the athletic tight end for their offense.

22. Baltimore Ravens: DL Rashan Gary, Michigan. The Ravens opt to take a player who could be a potential steal here. Gary has great athletic upside and could become a quality player on the edge or on the interior of Baltimore’s 3-4 defense. He could slip a bit due to his lack of production at Michigan.

23. Houston Texans: G Chris Lindstrom, Boston College.  The Texans need the best offensive lineman on the board. Period. Lindstrom is a well-rounded player who should be an excellent guard at the next level.

24. Oakland Raiders: RB Josh Jacobs, Alabama. The Raiders and Jon Gruden love to run the ball. They won’t risk missing on Jacobs, one of the only true three-down running backs in this draft.
