Picks 25-32

25. Philadelphia Eagles: DL Jeffery Simmons, Mississippi State. The Eagles just re-signed Timmy Jernigan, but this would be a long-term pick. Simmons could have been a top-10 pick had he not torn his ACL. The Eagles love to build the trenches, so he makes sense here.

26. Indianapolis Colts: S Johnathan Abram, Mississippi State. The Colts get a defensive back here who can help their secondary. Abram is a physical, downhill playmaker and should help the Colts add talent to the defense.

27. Oakland Raiders: WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma. Ahead of D.K. Metcalf? It’s possible, as teams seem to have slightly cooled on Metcalf and may see him slip into Round 2. Brown is a T.Y. Hilton clone and would add a speed element to the Raiders’ offense.

28. Los Angeles Chargers: DT Dexter Lawrence, Clemson. The Chargers need help up the middle of their defense. Lawrence has immense upside but will be a monstrous run stuffer at the very least.

29. Seattle Seahawks: CB Greedy Williams, LSU. The Seahawks love long, athletic cornerbacks. Williams checks those boxes, so he could be the pick, provided that they don’t trade down.

30. Green Bay Packers: QB Drew Lock, Missouri. Will the Packers make this pick? Maybe. But they could also trade it to continue to hoard draft capital. If a quarterback-needy team moves up, Lock could be the pick here. Additionally, new head coach Matt LaFleur may want to bring in a developmental backup behind Aaron Rodgers. Lock could be that guy and could eventually be Rodgers’ successor. Lock shouldn’t get out of the first round, but with no obvious landing spot, he could slip a bit.

31. Los Angeles Rams: DL Jerry Tillery, Notre Dame. The Rams lost Ndamukong Suh. Here’s a high-upside replacement.

32. New England Patriots: CB Rock Ya-Sin, Temple. Ya-Sin is a physical player with excellent leadership ability. Sounds like a Patriot to me.
