Christian Wilkins. 9. player. 16. . Defensive Lineman. Clemson

The Bills would love to see Ed Oliver fall to this pick, but the high-upside defensive tackle is off the board. That said, the Bills will still consider adding at this position, and Christian Wilkins could fit the bill here.

Wilkins was part of Clemson’s stellar defensive line, and he has a quick first step and well-rounded ability as a pass rusher. He totaled 10.5 sacks combined in the past two seasons, good numbers for an interior rusher, and helped to open up pass rushing lanes for his teammates. He should continue to wreak havoc at the next level.

Wilkins would be an ideal replacement for the retired Kyle Williams. Star Lotuleilei could shift into the nose tackle role with Wilkins service more as a pass rushing specialist. This may seem a bit early for him, but it would be a sensible pick for Buffalo.

Other Bills Draft Options

TE T.J. Hockenson, Iowa. Yet another potential landing spot for Hockenson. He is a really good receiving weapon and blocker, and he would help Josh Allen’s growth immensely.

OT Jawaan Taylor, Florida. After signing six offensive linemen in free agency, this pick seems less likely. Still, if the Bills view Taylor as a potential left tackle, they could grab him and move Dion Dawkins to guard or right tackle.

WR D.K. Metcalf, Ole Miss. If the Bills go outside the box and take a potential-packed receiver with the ninth pick, Metcalf could be an option. However, it seems more likely that the receivers in this class will go lower than expected, as there is quality depth in the group.
