Two more wins, and the Redskins could be in the playoffs.

Their 2018 fate isn’t entirely up to them, however. Kirk Cousins, fittingly, has a great deal of influence on the Washington Redskins playoff parameters, and a number of other wild card hopefuls factor in, at different points.

Only one thing is certain, this late into the game: The Redskins are still in it, and they don’t help themselves by losing games. In fact, one bad game, and it’s back home with the burgundy and gold. For their fates, Bruce Allen and Jay Gruden won’t let that happen.

Jobs could be on the line, which makes every game after this point simply too dangerous to lose. The Redskins need to keep winning, in spite of their dwindling chances. Perhaps, with standout performances from these five players, they can drive themselves into a ‘win-and-your-in’ situation in Week 17.
