Redskins vs. Jaguars: 5 players to watch in Week 15
By Ian Cummings
No. 1 – QB Josh Johnson
It’s gotten to the point where I’m not even frustrated that the Redskins keep losing quarterbacks. At this point, it’s just fascinating. Josh Johnson’s No. 4. Who will be No. 6? No. 15? When will Johnny Manziel get a call? Tim Tebow?
Just kidding. Maybe. The Redskins have their fourth quarterback, and with any luck, he’ll be the last one of the season. Josh Johnson has the reigns in D.C., and last week, he played well in garbage time, scoring two touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground.
If the Redskins are to capitalize on their outside chance to mount a meaningless playoff run, and save their coaches’ jobs for another year, then they’ll need strong play from Johnson. It’s clear that Johnson has skills that help detract from the deficiencies of the offensive line, but how will he play when a strong defense has time to prepare for him?
That’s the question everyone wants answered. And we’ll see him in action this weekend.
