The Redskins have the opportunity to bounce back from a devastating two weeks and end the season of a division rival in the process.

The Washington Redskins missed an opportunity to end the Cowboys’ season and lock down the NFC East last week. On the back of terrible tackling, poor pursuit angles, and a minus-three turnover ratio, the Redskins failed to take the proverbial “step forward” from mediocre to good.

Due to almost every other Wild Card contender losing yesterday, the Redskins remain in playoff position heading into tonight’s contest in Philadelphia. And yet again, they have the opportunity to essentially end the season of an NFC East rival and keep pace with the resurgent Cowboys.

Win, and their playoff chances go up to about 70 percent. Lose, and they drop to barely 30 percent. The Reality Is, most Redskins fans would have taken that opportunity this late into the season if given the opportunity in preseason. And while losing three of their last four has dampened enthusiasm, the Redskins still have a ton to play for tonight and for the remainder of the season.

As they go into Philly tonight trying to knock down the defending Super Bowl Champs, let’s book some Redskins Reality Checks.
