The good news? The Redskins will get a long week to rebound from their loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The bad news? Well, everything else.

There was a time this season when the Washington Redskins were 5-2, and seemingly in the driver’s seat in the NFC East. Behind an unorthodox, but effective running game, and an energetic, playmaking defense, D.C.’s team seemed primed to compete.

Now, Week 12 has begun, and already, the Redskins have lost. They fell to the Cowboys on Thursday night, dropping to 6-5 on the season, matching the surging Cowboys’ record. They’re now tied in a division they once led by more than a game. Their running game has fallen to shambles behind a patchwork offensive line, and their defense has eroded.

The dichotomy between Washington’s early-season form and mid-season form in 2018 is astounding, and it was never more clear than it became on Thanksgiving. Should we be thankful for the team showing its true colors? Or has the charade gone on long enough? Here’s what we can take away from Thursday’s loss.
