The Washington Redskins are dealing with yet another injury plagued week. They have two players out, but six are questionable.

The end of the 2017 season can’t come soon enough for the Washington Redskins. The team has dealt with so many injuries this season that it has been hard to keep track. On Friday, the team was forced to put Trent Williams on Injured Reserve and it’s being reported that LeShun Daniels broke his hand during practice and will miss the season. And that’s in addition to the players that are expected to be out on Sunday.

This week, both Zach Brown (Achilles/toe) and Ryan Anderson (knee) will be out. Brown is set to miss his second straight game with various maladies, the worst of which is the Achilles injury. With Brown set to hit the free agent market and with him playing through injury earlier in the year, there’s no need to send him onto the field this week. The team can hold him out and maybe work on an extension for the talented linebacker.

As for Anderson, he hurt his knee during the team’s last game and was considered to be day to day. He was unable to get on the practice field so naturally he was held out. Some late season action could have been beneficial for the rookie, but keeping him healthy is obviously more important. It’s still possible that he could be active for the Week 17 game against the Giants too.

Elsewhere, the most meaningful of the questionable players is Samaje Perine. The starting running back tweaked his groin during Thursday’s practice and with Daniels’ injury, Kapri Bibbs is the only healthy running back currently on the roster. The team will probably promote Dare Ogunbowale from the practice squad to provide depth, but Bibbs may get a chance to be the lead back against his former team. Keep an eye on Perine leading up to Sunday’s game. If he’s out, then the Redskins will be extremely thin at the running back position.

The other questionable players on offense are Morgan Moses, Jamison Crowder, and Maurice Harris. In the event that either receiver is absent, one would expect rookie Robert Davis to get his first NFL action. If Moses is out, then the Redskins will be without their top two tackles and Tyler Catalina would likely draw a start on the right side.

On defense, Kendall Fuller and Terrell McClain are both questionable. The team can ill-afford to lose Fuller who has been their best cornerback this season. Hopefully he will be ready to go come Sunday.
