2. Atlanta Falcons – Keanu Neal, S
Keanu Neal is another player that I liked. I was hoping the Redskins would take him but in the second round. Neal was a player that flew up draft boards and was being projected as a late first to mid second round draft pick. But the Falcons took him at pick 17.
Yes, the Falcons needed a safety but I think they could have gotten a good one in round two. They reached for Keanu Neal. But this doesn’t come as a surprise because Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff has gotten several picks wrong over the past few seasons.
So it’s no surprise that he’s done it again. Neal could become a good player for the Falcons but I think they could have addressed the need at safety in round two. I think linebacker Darron Lee would have been a better pick for them.
