Matchups to Watch for
Kirk Cousins Vs Ryan Fitzpatrick
These two quarterbacks are almost the same guy. Both can get hot and hurt you and both can get cold and hurt their own teams. The Jets may have a 3-1 record but it’s mostly because of their defense.
If they had to rely on Ryan Fitzpatrick to win games for them their record might be reversed. While he’s thrown 7 TD’s on the season, Fitzpatrick has also throw 6 interceptions in just four games. That’s welcome news to the Redskins defense.

They got two picks last week off of Matt Ryan and they will look to do the same to Fitzpatrick. However, it won’t make much of a difference if the Redskins Kirk Cousins can’t solve his own turnover problem as he he’s thrown six interceptions himself but in five games.
However, he only has 5 TD passes and he’ll need to get a few more against a very good Jets defense. One good thing is that Cousins and the Redskins recently played in Met Life Stadium in week 3 against the Giants. So they’re familiar with the surroundings.
Cousins threw two picks that night, so hopefully this time around he won’t throw any. Whichever quarterback plays the best may be the key to winning the game and it’s imperative that Cousins play well.
