Matchups to Watch for

Redskins wide receivers Vs Jets cornerbacks

On paper this looks like a mismatch as the Jets all-pro caliber tandem of corners in Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie seem to have a tremendous advantage over the Redskins wide receiver group, especially with DeSean Jackson not playing.

Add in slot corner Buster Skrine and the Jets theoretically should have a dominant performance.  However, Redskins rookie wide receiver Jamison Crowder is starting to make an impact in the slot and I think Skrine will have problems with him.

With his physical style, Pierre Garcon could have some success in the short and intermediate routes but Ryan Grant may have trouble getting separation.  Hopefully the Jets will underestimate the speed of Rashad Ross and maybe he can catch them sleeping on him and get one deep.

But the Redskins wide receivers need to step up to the plate and make some things happen for Kirk Cousins, otherwise it could be a long day for the Redskins passing game.
