Desean Jackson and Pierre Garcon will return as the starting duo at WR. Andre Roberts will continue as the third WR but I would like to see Jordan Reed used in that role along with his duties at TE. Reed can be a very good third down receiver and allow the Redskins to not be as predictable on offense as they were in 2014.
Reed needs to have a new partner at TE who is a great run blocker and still an effective receiver. I won’t be surprised to see a TE taken by McCloughan as early as the third round in the NFL Draft in May. Either Paul or Paulsen can be the third option unless a FA is signed there as well.
Reed needs to have a new partner at TE
Ryan Grant will get more opportunities and will be seeing a lot of playing time by the end of the season. McCloughan may also choose a WR in the draft to supplement the WRs and give the Redskins younger options going forward.
The real effect of the receivers will be seen if the Redskins can get more consistent play from the QBs. Gruden must also choose to run the ball more often and change up the situation on the offensive line if he wants to unleash the full potential of the Redskins WRs and TEs.
