Tom Brady just affirmed what the NFL has forgotten about Jayden Daniels

This was high praise.

Jayden Daniels caused a stir by agreeing to take part in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia at the end of March. He'll captain one team against the legendary Tom Brady, and a large section of the Washington Commanders' fan base wasn't too thrilled with this development.

Brady is a big fan of Daniels. And he wasted no time in reminding the league what they'd forgotten about the No. 2 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The former signal-caller turned FOX Sports analyst had nothing but good things to say about Daniels. He even went so far as to say that there is no one in the league he enjoys watching more.

Tom Brady reassures Commanders fans they have something special in Jayden Daniels

Coming from the most successful quarterback in NFL history, that is high praise indeed.

The quarterback spent more time on the shelf than on the field in 2025. A knee sprain, a low-grade hamstring strain, and a dislocated elbow saw his rookie momentum come screeching to an abrupt halt. Fans think Daniels should focus on staying healthy and locking in before OTAs, and he should turn his attention to the main thing.

If the Commanders wanted to block this move, they could have. A league memo stated that players would not be protected and would participate at their own risk. Fans are frustrated, of course, but this should be nothing more than an exhibition rather than anything overly exerting.

"If you are inclined to grant consent for a player’s participation, you must confirm so by providing written notice to the player. We recommend that you notify the player that his participation in the Event, and any activities he engages in related to the Event, will be at the player’s own risk and will not be covered by his Contract or the Collective Bargaining Agreement."

Getting the chance to bend Brady's ear and pick up whatever helpful hints he can is only going to serve him well. Flying halfway around the world isn't exactly ideal, but the Commanders were happy enough with the arrangements to give it the green light.

Based on what the future Pro Football Hall of Famer thinks of Daniels, he'll only be too happy to help him with whatever he needs. Brady's been around the game a long time and achieved more than anyone. He sees special traits in the former LSU standout — something those around the NFL have put on the back burner as others in his draft class thrive in the playoffs.

Hopefully, Daniels can confirm what Brady knows when the 2026 campaign rolls around. The Commanders are counting on it.
