The Commanders have a tough road ahead of them in the second half of the NFC Championship game against the Eagles, but there are a few players who will consistently be significant parts of their comeback story, one of whom is wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

To say he has been the bright spot of an otherwise underwhelming effort for Washington so far would be an understatement, and even his stats aren't exactly thrilling. Heading into the third quarter, McLaurin has recorded two catches for 43 yards and the lone touchdown of the day for his team, putting even more pressure on him to continue his efforts for the next two quarters.

Because he is always reliable and one of the best in the league, he was the focus for most of the conversation surrounding the Commanders during the halftime show, which led Rob Gronkowski to award him a new nickname: Terry McLaren. Yes, like the car.

Maybe he mispronounced his name, or perhaps it was purposeful. But it's hard to argue it's bad, given just how good McLaurin is.

Rob Gronkowski's nickname for Terry McLaurin should permanently stick no matter the outcome of the NFCCG

Mispronouncing McLaurin's name is nothing new for the wide receiver, as it seems like every commentator has their own way of saying it, making Gronkowski's all the better.

The wide receiver has been nothing short of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' most reliable weapon throughout his MVP-caliber season and continues to demonstrate that on Sunday in a game with the most on the line while most of his offensive teammates have been struggling.

He will need to keep that up the rest of the way if the Commanders want a chance of turning the game around and making the Super Bowl for the first time since 1992.
