Commanders vs. Falcons - Week 15

The Washington Commanders and Atlanta Falcons have had some thrilling battles over the years. The two teams look evenly matched, so this one could legitimately go either way.

Atlanta should be in the NFC South hunt by this point. Kevin Stefanski's squad might even lead, given the division's struggles. They have been far from perfect, but at least the offense has looked a lot better since quarterback Michael Penix Jr. returned to health.

Stopping prolific running back Bijan Robinson is key. Washington's run defense has improved overall this season, which might be enough to crack the window open enough for Jayden Daniels to come through in the clutch.

Prediction: Win (5-8-1)

Commanders at Vikings - Week 16

The NFL's only remaining unbeaten team through seven weeks is the Minnesota Vikings, just like everyone predicted. And you could argue Kevin O'Connell's team has done this without playing a complete game in every phase yet.

Minnesota's offense has been up and down. Kyler Murray spent time on the shelf, and they are struggling to get into a rhythm. They don't have a legitimate rushing attack, which is causing complications elsewhere.

Fortunately, their defense has been running riot on everybody. Brian Flores, a bold target for the Commanders this offseason, is putting on a masterclass every week. His blitz packages and exotic pressures are causing untold problems, which means Jayden Daniels might be under too much duress in this one.

Prediction: Loss (5-9-1)

Commanders at Jaguars - Week 17

The Commanders' final road game of the campaign is a tough one. Traveling to the Jacksonville Jaguars is no longer the cakewalk many enjoyed under previous regimes. They are a different, more resolute operation under head coach Liam Coen, and they look primed for another deep postseason run.

Trevor Lawrence is finding his feet as one of the league's most consistent quarterbacks. Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers are a dynamic wide receiver tandem, and their defense can create pressure quickly with Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker.

Travis Hunter is also showing signs of life, which is encouraging. The Commanders may also be going through the motions by then, so it's hard to predict anything other than defeat.

Prediction: (5-10-1)

Commanders vs. Cowboys - Week 18

Final games are always difficult to predict. Nobody knows who will start or where a team's ambitions lie. But if things go this way for the Commanders, this could be head coach Dan Quinn's final game at the helm.

And when the Commanders lock horns with the Dallas Cowboys, personal pride is always on the line.

The Cowboys' defense remains a work in progress. Their offense is a juggernaut, and it would be surprising if they weren't challenging for the division title by this point in the season.

They may have it locked up already, though a bye in the playoffs means some players can be rested. That's still to be determined, but this might feel like the last game of 2023 before Ron Rivera was made surplus to requirements.

Prediction: Loss (5-11-1)
