Commanders vs. Colts - Week 4

Getting out of the country might benefit the Washington Commanders. If they are 0-3 at this stage, which looks entirely possible in the circumstances, a change of scenery and something new could be enough to lift their spirits again.
A trip to London for an international game against the Indianapolis Colts provides them with a chance to do just that.
Like the Commanders, the AFC South club is 0-2. But this won't be a walkover, and they certainly won't be able to rely on quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels is expected to miss multiple weeks. We should know the official timeline later this week, but it seems traveling to the United Kingdom is not an option. The Colts will know it, and they will fancy their chances of success.
Though the Colts haven't yet won, they aren't far away. They pushed the Kansas City Chiefs right to the limit before falling in overtime. With the Pittsburgh Steelers up next, it's a good chance to secure success before crossing the pond to take on Washington.
The Commanders won't take Indianapolis lightly; they don't have that luxury right now. The Colts have some defensive frailties that could be exploited, and they will also be without wide receiver Alec Pierce.
- Prediction: Loss (0-4)
This could go either way, but until the Commanders' defense proves it can be consistent at all three levels, it's hard to predict anything other than another defeat.
Commanders vs. NY Giants - Week 5

The Washington Commanders weren't the only team to endure significant quarterback misfortune in the NFC East. And for the New York Giants, the prognosis around Jaxson Dart is even worse.
After injuring his knee early in New York's loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, the initial reports were relatively encouraging. Dart was supposed to have suffered an MCL sprain but was expected back after a short stint on the sidelines.
That is not the case anymore.
Further tests revealed a much more serious problem for Dart, who now looks set for season-ending knee surgery. This is a devastating blow for the Giants, who looked highly competitive in Week 1 with a talented young roster led by head coach John Harbaugh.
Jameis Winston will be under center. The Commanders should see this as a chance to build much-needed momentum on home soil.
Defensive coordinator Daronte Jones' pressure packages will be key. They have to put Winston under duress from start to finish. If they do, he is known to make mistakes, and that could be the catalyst for Washington to secure its first win of the campaign.
- Prediction: Win (1-4)
If edge rusher Brian Burns is also missing, that only improves Washington's chances. And they have to win at some point, right?
