Washington Commanders 2024 schedule: Full list of 2024-25 opponents
By Dean Jones
It's been a dramatic few months for everyone associated with the Washington Commanders. Big changes were coming as Josh Harris' ownership group entered their first full offseason at the helm. The alterations have been nothing short of drastic, but few would argue that the franchise isn't in a better spot as a result.
Washington's front-office infrastructure received a significant makeover thanks to Adam Peters. The increase in professionalism is evident and there's a closeness that was sorely lacking throughout Dan Snyder's two-decade tenure. More importantly, he's constructed the roster with the right blend of youth and experience capable of being more competitive.
Dan Quinn looks energized as he gets set to embark on his second head coaching opportunity. The Commanders also have Jayden Daniels - someone they hope can become the franchise quarterback every leading contender desperately needs in the modern-day game.
The Commanders found out how their games would be structured as the NFL officially released their 2024 schedule in full. This is always an eagerly anticipated occasion for all football lovers, which also bears more significance to Washington when one considers the excitement enveloping the organization under the new era.
Here's how the Commanders' contests will fall throughout the 2024 season.

The Commanders have a chance to get off to a positive start. While the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be respected, they aren't exactly world-beaters either. If nothing else, these opening two games will give fans a broader indication of what this team might be capable of in 2024 with Quinn leading the charge.
In what seems to be an annual event, the Commanders conclude their regular-season engagements versus the Dallas Cowboys. The last two finales have come on home soil. This time, Quinn will make the trip back to AT&T Stadium for the first time since departing the organization for the nation's capital earlier this year.
Nobody is anticipating the Commanders to be among the leading Super Bowl contenders. They were one of the league's worst teams last season for a reason. However, there's a completely different feel around the building now - something that could see huge improvements arrive at the very least if everything clicks throughout the preparation period.
Fans can now plan their trips, identify which home clashes to attend, and take a closer examination of how things might unfold throughout what promises to be another fascinating campaign. Despite how things went last season, football has been missed. It's amazing what a bit of optimism does.
That said, the Commanders must capitalize on this newfound momentum and put it to good use. Which is, of course, easier said than done.
