The Washington Commanders made the entire NFL sit up and take notice of their exciting project thanks to a stunning road victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. This was a staggering development that retained their status at the NFC East summit after three games. There is a long way to go, but things are heading in the right direction under new head coach Dan Quinn.

Building on this newfound momentum is the next challenge. The Commanders cannot get complacent and feel like the job is done. There are still some problems to figure out and some weak links that could potentially hold them back. Quinn will know that better than anyone, so keeping development at the forefront of his mind and making the correct adjustments is crucial.

Fans are starting to believe something special might be unfolding in front of their eyes. It's been a long time since this long-suffering fanbase had legitimate hope for the future. They truly believe that anything is possible with rookie phenom Jayden Daniels under center. That's arguably the biggest positive above all else.

With this in mind, we took a look at how the Commanders might fare over their next four games following a 2-1 start to the campaign.

Predicting the Commanders' next four games after 2-1 start in 2024

Commanders at Cardinals - Week 4

  • Date: Sunday, September 29
  • Time: 4.05 p.m. ET
  • Venue: State Farm Stadium

It's been an up-and-down start for the Arizona Cardinals. They've lost two games against two potential Super Bowl challengers - the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills. They've also trounced the Los Angeles Rams during one of the finest offensive displays of any team this season.

The Washington Commanders traveled straight to Arizona after their Monday Night Football triumph at the Cincinnati Bengals. This gives them time to acclimatize to the heat and time difference. It's also a good way to keep building team chemistry with the focus solely on football.

Kliff Kingsbury is out for revenge against the team that fired him as head coach after the 2022 season. However, the key is on the other side of the football. Can the struggling Commanders' defense somehow find a way to keep star quarterback Kyler Murray contained?

  • Prediction: Win (3-1)

That's easier said than done. The Commanders might have to turn this into a shootout to stand any chance. That strategy worked well against the Bengals. It can have a similar impact in this one if Washington continues to play turnover-free football with Jayden Daniels leading the charge.
