Commanders vs. NY Giants - Week 11

There's just no telling what the atmosphere will be like if the Washington Commanders head into their divisional clash against the New York Giants sitting at 3-7. Whether Josh Harris' new ownership group has taken matters into their own hands by this point is another hot topic for discussion.

Either way, this is a game they have to win to avoid plummeting further down into the proverbial abyss. The Commanders are unfortunate enough to have a daunting stretch of fixtures after this all the way up to Week 18 with a bye sandwiched in the middle, so it's arguably their last legitimate chance to pick up some semblance of momentum.

Of course, they'd have to perform much better than they managed at the Giants last weekend. It was arguably the most incompetent display of the season alongside their Thursday night embarrassment versus the Chicago Bears, so this is all about how much pride remains in the locker room.

Just show some fight. Execute effectively. Do the simple fundamental things that made the Commanders look halfway decent at some stages in 2023.

Prediction: Win (4-7)

Although the Giants will probably be getting quarterback Daniel Jones and some of their starting offensive linemen back by this point, Washington can still win. I also acknowledge it's a tough sell after what transpired at MetLife Stadium.
