After picking the first win of Dan Quinn's head coaching tenure in Week 2, a much sterner test faces the Washington Commanders this time around. The new regime gets a rare opportunity to showcase its encouraging progress on the national stage at the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

The bright lights of Monday night draw more excitement than most games. This is where the microscope increases and legends are made. Washington is brimming with confidence after pulling out a victory late in proceedings against the New York Giants. But further improvements are needed to counteract the supreme threat posed by the Joe Burrow-led Bengals.

Cincinnati might be 0-2, but they can take heart from running the Kansas City Chiefs close before eventually falling short. They are a dangerous outfit - especially on home soil - so the Commanders could be overwhelmed unless they're not up for the fight.

This begins a challenging series of games for Washington over the next month. Quinn will learn plenty about his squad during this tough stretch. If they can build some early momentum by shocking the Bengals under the glaring national spotlight, the better their chances will be.

The Commanders haven't faced the Bengals during the regular seasons since 2020, which was a 20-9 victory for Washington during its first season with Ron Rivera at the helm. Nobody associated with the franchise would be complaining about the same result four years later.

There are several streaming services for fans to enjoy the game. Those fans fortunate enough to reside in the market can catch the game on ESPN+ or NFL+ (mobile only). Anyone out of the market can stream the clash on ESPN+ on any device. NFL Game Pass International will also show the game for fans out of the country.

Let's hope the Commanders can formally announce themselves as a force once again with the entire NFL world watching. It won't be easy versus a team that still harbors postseason ambitions despite their sluggish start. But there is just no telling what this would do for the morale of Quinn's squad if they could somehow pull it off.
