Another game day has arrived and it's a big one for the Washington Commanders. Dan Quinn's men have a chance to put some breathing space between themselves and the Dallas Cowboys following their home loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It won't be easy, but the Cincinnati Bengals might be vulnerable after enduring two straight defeats to begin the campaign.

Taking the Bengals lightly just because they were downed by the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs would be foolish. This is still a tremendous squad from top to bottom led by a genuine franchise quarterback in former No. 1 pick Joe Burrow. If the Commanders aren't at their best and significant improvements don't arrive in key areas, they won't emerge from this one with much credit.

At the same time, the Commanders have almost no pressure on them. That's all with Cincinnati. They are the team supposed to go deep into the postseason and need to appease their home fans. This should allow Quinn's roster to play with an extra sense of freedom with nobody expecting them to cause any great shakes on Monday Night Football.

The Bengals will get stud wide receiver Tee Higgins back to further raise concerns. Washington's secondary is a potential complication and could be exposed if the pass-rush doesn't show signs of life. Confusing Burrow pre-snap with disguised packages is the best route forward. But in truth, even that might not be enough.

Can the Commanders put the entire NFL on notice with a bombshell victory with the national spotlight glaring? Or will this be a step too far in the initial transition of Quinn's substantial rebuilding project?
