Grading the Commanders' latest four moves including Mykal Walker signing

Commanders signed Jeff Driskel
Speculation is running wild about which direction the Washington Commanders are going to go at No. 2 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Everyone knows it'll be a quarterback. Nobody has a significant tell about who the prospect of choice will be with just a few weeks remaining until the big night.
General manager Adam Peters recently stated his desire to have four quarterbacks on Washington's roster heading into the team's 2024 season preparations. With Marcus Mariota and Jake Fromm already on the books, the Commanders brought in veteran Jeff Driskel on a one-year deal to provide further cover.
Driskel can be best described as a journey quarterback. He did see the field once in 2023, completing 50 percent of his passes for 166 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions for the Cleveland Browns. That's not stellar by any stretch, but the Commanders aren't holding out any expectations whatsoever with grander plans.
Grade: C
The Commanders are taking a quarterback with their high-end first-round pick. Mariota will back up their chosen signal-caller and could even potentially start if those in power feel like their rookie needs additional time to develop. That leaves Fromm and Driskel fighting for the No. 3 spot, which could be on the practice squad rather than the 53-man roster.
