Commanders vs. Buccaneers odds and prop bets for Week 1
By Dean Jones
The time for talk is over. Dan Quinn and his coaching staff worked exceptionally hard to whip the Washington Commanders into shape this offseason. They'll be hoping this serves their new-look roster well as the NFC East outfit gears up for their regular-season opener at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Washington is quietly fancied to make some noise in 2024 after decades of misery. It was a complete tear-down from general manager Adam Peters in his first few months at the helm. Things look much more promising long term, but it leaves an unknown factor on their fortunes this season with so many fresh faces needing to become a cohesive unit.
The Buccaneers have familiarity on their side after bringing back most of their established stars for another go-around. Todd Bowles remains the head coach and is held in the highest regard around the league. His team is a tough nut to crack, so nothing but high performance and avoiding mental errors will do.
Quinn knows this might take time before everything is where he wants it. But there's nothing to suggest the Commanders cannot put up more of a fight despite losing the final four games of the previous campaign.
