Commanders QB Sam Howell's projection

The Washington Commanders will be looking to right some wrongs after a complete capitulation at home against the Buffalo Bills. Doing this at the Philadelphia Eagles given their form and notoriously intimidating fans is a tough ask, so calm heads and supreme execution is the only way Ron Rivera's men stand any chance of putting up a fight.

This all comes down to quarterback Sam Howell's composure. Some costly errors reared their head in Week 3, which centered on not going through progressions quickly enough, suspect distribution, and not protecting the football efficiently versus a Bills defense that sensed weakness from the outset.

All eyes will be on Howell's response during only his second official regular season road start. But head coach Ron Rivera is expecting improvements from the former fifth-round selection based on his comments via USA Today Sports.

"I think we can expect him to go out and play well, give us his best, and do the things he needs to do to give us the best chance to win."

If Howell cannot rid himself of the turnover issues that blighted his previous display, the Commanders can forget about winning this one. However, if Eric Bieniemy can get the run game going and scheme things up in a way that makes things easy for his signal-caller, Washington isn't without a slight chance at the very least.
