After an egregious call denied K.J. Henry his first NFL sack in Week 9 at the New England Patriots, it came as no surprise to see the league not fine him for his supposed misdemeanor. No apology, though, which is in keeping with the distinct lack of accountability from the higher-ups.
The call received widespread disapproval from players, coaches, and analysts alike. Jack Del Rio stated in his press availability that he hoped the rookie wouldn't get fined - which proved to be the case - and the message remains the same for the Clemson product in terms of approach.
This did at least prove that Henry is capable of generating pressure when his number gets called. Something that could result in further opportunities as the campaign progresses.
And hopefully, Henry isn't the victim of further asinine officiating when the time comes for another potential sack.
