Kazmeir Allen has the Commanders' attention

One player seems to be drawing more praise than most from the Washington Commanders this offseason. Kazmeir Allen was a huge priority for those in power once the 2023 NFL Draft concluded and based on his transition so far, it's not hard to see why.

Allen is a dynamic playmaker with the football in his hands. The wide receiver operates effectively almost anywhere on the field and is also an asset to have on special teams - something that has the attention of head coach Ron Rivera based on his comments via Sports Illustrated.

"He's a young man that most certainly has gotten our attention and he's a young guy that we went out and tried to make sure we were able to recruit and bring him in as a free agent."

There is still a long way to go for Allen and the competition within Washington's wide receiver room is fierce. But this is also about seizing opportunities and although there is plenty of hard work ahead for the player, the undrafted free agent is off to a tremendous start.

This is another big confidence boost for Allen. At this point, it would be surprising if the former UCLA star didn't make the final 53-man roster.
