Kamren Curl praised by Commanders teammate

There's no doubt Kamren Curl is one of the most important players on the Washington Commanders' defense in 2023. The gifted defensive back looks set to anchor a secondary that could be set for major improvements, which is only going to add extra dollars to his contract demands if those in power decide to wait things out regarding a potential extension.

This is something the Commanders would be wise to sort out at the earliest possible opportunity. Curl has vastly outperformed his seventh-round rookie deal, so being cheap now is going to cost the franchise more, in the long run, looking at his current career trajectory.

Curl got another confidence boost recently from teammate Kendall Fuller, who was glowing in his praise of the former Arkansas standout via Sports Illustrated. Something that's thoroughly deserved after an exceptional start to his NFL journey.

"I have always been a big fan of Kam, man. He's just an overall good football player. He can make plays all around the field. So, for me, it was nothing that I haven't expected from him. Nothing that I feel like he hasn't put out on tape over these last three years. So, for me, he's just coming out being the same Kam Curl, and that's all we need him to do."

Any further leap forward from Curl could see a first Pro Bowl selection follow. That's why it's so important for the Commanders to get his contract extension sorted sooner rather than later.
