Commanders praise Brian Robinson Jr.

There have been very few beacons of light where the Washington Commanders are concerned this season. Underachievement and a lack of motivation are becoming prevalent across the franchise during Ron Rivera's last days as head coach. But that is not the case with Brian Robinson Jr.

The running back has become a genuine three-down presence out of the backfield. Many wondered if he'd be able to cope with Eric Bieniemy's high-level demands. Instead, the former third-round selection out of Alabama is thriving as one of the Commanders' focal points on offense.

This hasn't gone unnoticed by Bieniemy, who praised the player's commitment to excellence based on comments via the team's website. Something that should ensure he becomes RB1 next season whether a new coaching staff is appointed or not.

"He's a hardworking professional. The thing that I love about him is that he has the right attitude and the right mindset. Those are the type of people that you want in an organization. Those are the type of people that you want to lean on in certain situations such as what he did this past week and just running the football."

Robinson is just ten yards away from breaking 1,000 all-purpose yards this season. He's 336 away from four figures in rushing. Whether he could attain this feat within such a pass-happy scheme deployed by Bieniemy remains to be seen.
