Commanders draft Quinn Ewers in 2024 mock
There is a lot of football to be played before the 2024 NFL Draft arrives. However, that hasn't stopped media outlets across the country from speculating which prospects might end up where when the time comes.
Things could look far different where the Washington Commanders are concerned by this point. The new ownership group led by Josh Harris might decide to ring the changes if things don't go well for head coach Ron Rivera, which would also see plenty of player turnover depending on who comes in as his replacement.
Dane Brugler from The Athletic had the Commanders picking at No. 6 overall in his 2024 mock draft. If this is the case, then there's a high chance Sam Howell's time under center hasn't gone as Rivera banked on.
As a result, Brugler mocked Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers to the Commanders. There is a lack of experience to consider, but this could be a franchise-altering move if the prospect manages to put everything together.
"Only a redshirt sophomore (plus he skipped his senior year of high school), Ewers is still very young in several areas. But he has the top-shelf arm talent to make wow plays look routine. If the mental development catches up to his physical skills, Ewers will be an easy top-10 pick."

Mock drafts for 2024 are more of an outlier for fans regarding which prospects to monitor. But if Howell fluffs his lines and Rivera gets fired, then expect every quarterback prospect to come under serious consideration.
