Commanders WR Terry McLaurin praised

When Eric Bieniemy finished answering questions during his introductory press conference, one of the first players to greet him was Terry McLaurin. The wide receiver made his intentions clear from the outset, offering support and stating his commitment to do whatever it takes to get the Washington Commanders trending in a positive direction.

This was big talk from the former third-round selection out of Ohio State, but McLaurin is also a man of action. His performance levels throughout OTAs caught the eye in no uncertain terms and the wideout is also leading from the front - something Bieniemy should lean on heavily throughout the campaign.

When discussing McLaurin's influence, Bieniemy stated via Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk that he's done a wonderful job of setting the tone and wishes every pro adopted a similar mindset to their approach.

"Does a hell of a job of showing up to work every single day. You want everybody to be like Terry. Terry works his tail off. He sets an example by his work ethic and what he does. He’s also a man of his word. So, I knew about him when he came out of Ohio State. We watched a lot of tape on him when he was coming out. But loved the man, loved the character, and I am enjoying the professional football player."

This is a big step in the right direction ahead of a pivotal campaign for the Commanders. But if McLaurin, Bieniemy, and quarterback Sam Howell hit it off, then it's going to make a substantial difference to the team's fortunes on offense.
