Commanders News: Emmanuel Forbes, Jonathan Taylor, Sam Howell and Logan Thomas

Commanders interested in Jonathan Taylor?
Even though the Washington Commanders have three decent options within the running back room, those in power have reportedly discussed the possibility of bringing in another established figure into the mix. According to Destin Adams from A to Z Sports, an inquiry was made about bringing Jonathan Taylor over from the Indianapolis Colts via trade, which would be nothing short of a bombshell all things considered.
It appears as if the relationship between Taylor and the Colts is fractured beyond repair. But Jillian Nachtigal from Pro Football Network doesn't expect the Commanders to take their supposed interest any further thanks in no small part to Robinson's exceptional start to the campaign.
"The Commanders are another surprising name to throw in the mix. They entered this season with three running backs drafted over the last four years in Brian Robinson Jr., Antonio Gibson, and rookie Chris Rodriguez. The team struggled in Week 1, but in a Week 2 win over the Broncos, Robinson had 129 total yards and two touchdowns. In Week 3, the Commanders offense fell apart again in a 37-3 loss to the Bills. With solid running back options, this is another unlikely destination for Taylor, but only time will tell if Washington’s name remains in the mix."

Taylor is a tremendous player, there's no denying that fact. However, given the compensation Indianapolis would likely demand for the All-Pro coupled with his demands for a new deal, this looks like a non-starter from Washington's perspective.
