Commanders news: Dan Quinn, Caleb Williams, high demands and Larry Izzo

Commanders' high demands from leaders
Dan Quinn might not be the biggest hire imaginable. However, he has the right credentials when it comes to inspiring his players. Something the Washington Commanders are banking on as part of their plans for sustained growth.
The newly appointed head coach is under no illusions. He knows this is a big job at one of the NFL's storied franchises. Quinn plans to speed up the process by placing high demands on leadership and setting the course for others to evolve their respective statuses within the locker room based on comments via USA Today Sports.
"Where does that leadership come from? I’ll set the course, trust me I will. But we will be really, really good when we are excellent in the locker room first…The way we push one another and lead one another that’s when you can become excellent. You do have to be ready when your number is called to say ‘This is my time, I will take it. I will lead the way here.' When you have a number of people that push really high standards, then you can do some special stuff."

Quinn is a bonafide leader of men. He's what general manager Adam Peters and the hiring committee were seeking throughout the process. The Commanders' locker room culture wasn't exactly up to scratch as another campaign spiraled out of control in 2023. His first objective will be to reignite belief and provide a sense of belonging in pursuit of a common goal.
