Eric Bieniemy's decision to leave the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs comes with endless intrigue - something Ron Rivera is hoping provides the catalyst behind better offensive fortunes during a make-or-break campaign for the head coach.

Bieniemy has already left a mark and training camp will see his vocal intensity raised further to ensure his players are fully prepared for their Week 1 clash against the Arizona Cardinals and beyond. Much will depend on Sam Howell and whether Washington's revamped offensive line comes together, but hopes are high with such a respected mind leading the charge.

When discussing Bieniemy recently, quarterback Patrick Mahomes stated via the Associated Press and Sports Illustrated that it'll be tough not having his counsel. But the reigning NFL MVP is excited for the Commanders knowing the credentials he brings to the table.
