Eric Bieniemy shifting Commanders culture

Eric Bieniemy's presence has gone down extremely well with Washington Commanders players so far. His high-energy and increased accountability are exactly what this offense needs at a critical time given how much pressure is on those in positions of power with new ownership looming in 2023.

Bieniemy has been vocal, enthusiastic, and unafraid to let his feelings out when he feels like standards are slipping. Something that commanded instant respect within the locker room and has everyone pulling in the same direction.

When asked about Bieniemy's impact in such a short space of time, wide receiver Jahan Dotson stated at his recent youth football camp via Sports Illustrated that he feels like a real culture shift is occurring that can propel the Commanders to bigger and better things moving forward.

"It's been really good. Just getting back with the guys has been really great. Coach [Eric] Bieniemy, I feel like he's brought culture to our team, he's brought a sense of energy, sense of urgency. It's been really good just being able to learn from him."

Much will depend on the offensive line and whether quarterback Sam Howell can shine from a starting role. Bieniemy will have them ready based on what we've witnessed throughout OTAs so far and if everything clicks in time for the regular season, Dotson stands to benefit more than most.
