Commanders 2020 NFL Draft regrade
We now have a pretty decent sample size regarding the Washington Commanders' draft picks in 2020 and what their long-term fortunes look like. Some were bigger hits than others, with their choice of Chase Young at No. 2 overall not going according to plan as yet.
When re-grading Washington's 2020 class, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports maintained the B he originally gave the Commanders. Although this probably has more to do with players like Antonio Gibson, Kamren Curl, and James Smith-Williams rather than anything Young's managed to contribute.
"I loved the pick of Young, but who didn't? The injury has changed the trajectory of his career. I questioned trading the second to draft [Montez] Sweat the year before, but Washington nailed that decision. I liked the picks of Gibson and [Saahdiq] Charles since both were on my Better-Than team that year. I also said fourth-round receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden had a chance, but he retired after two seasons with just one catch."

Curl was arguably the best selection of this entire draft in terms of value. Gibson's also been a decent contributor and should excel heading into a contract year within Eric Bieniemy's dynamic offensive scheme.
As for Young, the jury is still out. And after the Commanders opted not to pick up his fifth-year option, time is of the essence.
