Commanders RB Brian Robinson praised

Very few Washington Commanders players came out of the 2023 season with any credit. It was a campaign to forget - one that ended with eight consecutive defeats. Amid all the doom and gloom, running back Brian Robinson Jr. did enough to suggest he'll have an important role to play under the new regime.

Despite Eric Bieniemy's lack of offensive balance, Robinson put together a decent campaign. He demonstrated explosiveness and outstanding vision. The former third-round pick also showed promise as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. Something that could make things easier for a rookie quarterback if the Commanders go in this direction as expected.

Anthony Lynn will be tasked with bringing more out of Robinson in the coming months. The new run game coordinator/running backs coach is a big fan based on comments via Grant Paulsen from 106.7 The Fan. He also highlighted the player's desire to be great as a strong stepping stone to brighter fortunes.

"I studied Brian [Robinson] coming out of Alabama. I know Brian very well and I like him. I know what his running style is and what he can do and areas where I can help him. He wants to be good."

If anyone can help Robinson reach new heights, it's Lynn. He's an experienced coach with a strong track record in developing young talent. The Alabama product stands to benefit more than most if everything goes according to plan.
