Confidence in new Commanders GM Adam Peters
Adam Peters was a shrewd hire by the Washington Commanders. He's got proven credentials. He's been around Super Bowl-winning franchises. He's played a significant role behind the scenes en route to the San Francisco 49ers becoming a leading challenger.
This was the job Peters was waiting for. Josh Harris and his hiring committee sold the project extremely well. They have ambitious plans and believe their new front-office leader can spearhead improved fortunes on the field.
When asked about the appointment recently, former general manager Scott Pioli couldn't hide his excitement for Peters and the Commanders based on comments via USA Today Sports. It's clear he feels this could be a match made in heaven as Washington looks to make their long-awaited return to the NFL's top table.
"Personally, I’m really excited for Adam. I’ve known him for so long, and I’m happy for him and his family. I am also excited for Washington. I have so much respect for that franchise. I’ve always loved the franchise. I’ve always respected the franchise. I’m excited and truly hopeful this works out well for everybody."
