Commanders HC Dan Quinn's ambition
Dan Quinn might not have been everybody's choice for head coach, but he's more than qualified. Getting a second head coaching opportunity is something that's been on the cards for a couple of years now. Once the chance to join the Washington Commanders arrived, the former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator couldn't turn it down.
Fans got plenty of insight about what to expect from Quinn during his introductory presser. There's an aligned vision within the building. Based on comments via the team's website, his leadership style will envelop all areas to establish a firm culture. Focusing on player development is also high on his list of primary objectives.
"The essence of a head coach is to put it all together. It's the chemistry, it's the messaging, it's the play style, it's the attitude, it's the swagger. That's my number one job; to make sure all of this comes together. The reason I got into coaching was the players. Teaching has been part of what I've done my whole life, and that connection with people and players specifically is what I've done. When you get it really good, and really tight, that's when the magic happens."

Quinn is a renowned relationship builder with his players. Getting everyone onside quickly will be his first big challenge. If he can do that and the right recruitments are acquired via free agency and the draft, getting this franchise trending upward quickly is a realistic goal.
